Agreement and scope
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Ink Order game, website, iPhone app, account services, and related features (together, the Service). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service. Features, puzzles, and supported devices may change as Ink Order is maintained and improved.
Accounts and eligibility
An Ink Order account is optional for website, iPhone, and iPad gameplay and purchases, including Apple purchase restoration. A device or browser save and secure anonymous session are used without requesting registration. Sign in only if you want account-based features such as cross-device progress synchronization and browser-save recovery.
You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials private. If you use Apple or Google to sign in, your use of that provider also remains subject to its account terms. If you believe your account has been compromised, reset its password or secure the linked provider account promptly, then use Ink Order Support if you still need help.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to an online service where you live. If local law requires parental permission, a parent or guardian must approve your use.
Playing Ink Order
Ink Order gives you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play the game for private, non-commercial entertainment while you follow these Terms.
Puzzle availability, level order, artwork, difficulty, hints, mastery ratings, and other game rules may be adjusted as the Service evolves. Your account does not give you ownership of the game, puzzles, artwork, software, or other Ink Order content.
Progress sync and offline play
When you sign in, supported progress is synchronized through your account so you can continue between the website and iPhone app. A local cache may let the game continue when a network connection is unavailable.
Website guest progress is cached in this browser and backed up to its anonymous session when connected. Keep the browser’s site data to retain access to that save and its purchases. Clearing site data or losing recovery credentials can prevent guest recovery; an optional account provides supported cross-device access. Stripe checkout may require payment or receipt information, but it does not require Ink Order registration.
Sync is designed to merge compatible achievements and protect hint balances, but no storage system is perfect. You should not intentionally run conflicting sessions, alter local game data, or interfere with synchronization.
Print Shop purchases
Free hints are a gameplay feature, have no cash value, are not transferable, and may be replenished or balanced according to the rules shown in the game.
Paid hint packs and the optional Pixel Pass are available only when the Print Shop shows an active checkout option. Web purchases use Stripe Checkout, and iPhone and iPad purchases use Apple StoreKit. Stripe or Apple displays the product, price, currency, and any applicable tax before you authorize payment.
Purchased hints are consumable digital items, have no cash value, are not transferable, and do not expire while the Service and the purchasing player save remain available. Verified purchases are credited to the device purchase session or optional signed-in Ink Order account. Connecting that session to an optional account enables supported cross-device access. Device-only progress and consumable balances may be lost if device recovery credentials are lost; contact Support for purchase assistance. Refunds, reversals, or payment disputes may remove unused hints from the corresponding pack without making the balance negative, subject to provider rules and applicable consumer law.
Pixel Pass is a non-consumable digital entitlement that permanently unlocks Levels 501–1,000 and all additional future campaign expansions released for Pixel Pass for the purchasing player while the Service and that entitlement remain available. On iPhone and iPad, Restore Purchases uses the purchasing Apple Account and does not require Ink Order registration. “Permanent” distinguishes it from consumable hints; it does not transfer ownership of the game or guarantee that the Service will operate forever. A verified refund, revocation, or payment dispute may suspend or remove expansion access, subject to provider rules and applicable consumer law. Ink Order does not make an additional refund promise beyond rights provided by the payment provider or applicable law.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Service or help anyone else do so.
- Do not probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security or access controls except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Do not automate play, manipulate progress or hint balances, impersonate another person, or access another player’s account.
- Do not copy, sell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Ink Order content without written permission.
- Do not use the Service unlawfully or in a way that harms other people or the Service.
Availability and service changes
We may maintain, improve, suspend, or discontinue part of the Service, and access may occasionally be interrupted. We may also update puzzles or correct progress data when reasonably necessary to fix abuse, corruption, or a technical error.
We will use reasonable care in providing the Service, but the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
Ownership and feedback
Ink Order and its original software, visual design, pixel art, puzzles, names, and other content are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant only the limited right to use the Service described above.
If you voluntarily send ideas or feedback, you allow us to use them to evaluate and improve Ink Order without an obligation to compensate you. You keep ownership of any rights you already hold in your feedback.
Ending your account
You may stop using Ink Order at any time. You may request account deletion through Delete Account in Settings. Deletion is permanent: it removes the account, synced progress, and active account ownership mapping and clears the account-scoped session and cache on the device where deletion is initiated. Another device that is offline may keep a local copy until it reconnects, signs out, or its site or app data is cleared. Minimal provider transaction evidence may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy for security, legal obligations, dispute handling, and verified purchase recovery. A cryptographically verified current Apple StoreKit non-consumable may be eligible for secure reattachment to a replacement account; a Stripe web entitlement is not automatically reattached after account deletion. Deleting an account does not itself request or guarantee a refund; contact Support before deletion if you have a purchase-recovery question.
We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, comply with law, or address a serious or repeated violation of these Terms. Where practical, we will provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue.
Responsibility and liability
You are responsible for your use of the Service and for losses caused by your unlawful or intentional misuse. To the extent permitted by law, Ink Order is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits arising from the Service.
These limits apply only to the extent allowed where you live and do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer protections.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as Ink Order develops. The effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be communicated in the Service when reasonably possible. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without taking away mandatory consumer rights where you live. Direct Terms, account, and service questions to Ink Order Support.
